Professor Simon Taylor-Robinson is a Consultant Hepatologist and Professor of Translational Medicine at Imperial College London. He combines his clinical work as a Hepatologist at St Mary’s Hospital with research within the Institute for Global Health Innovation, and is also Clinical Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
He talks to Vicky Brightman, Head of Public Engagement, about his various engagement projects, including the Amos Bursary working with young black men in London and West Africa and a fascinating, creative collaboration with contemporary musician, Ghostpoet.
Simon reminds us not to "take the public for granted", and sees engagement with research as a core activity of researchers today.
